Mykolaiv Regional Engineering Center (MREC) is a Ukrainian engineering consultancy established in 2008. Our land-management team prepares reclamation documentation, restoration measures and cost estimates for the agreed future use of disturbed land.
Planning the restoration of disturbed land
A land reclamation project defines measures for restoring land affected by earthworks, construction, industrial activity or other disturbance. It connects the site's condition and intended future use with the technical and biological restoration measures required for the assignment.
We can assess the documentation scope for land disturbed by hostilities as well as construction and other activities. The site's access status, available survey data and any required specialist investigations must be established before fieldwork and design are agreed.
Land reclamation design: technical and biological restoration
- Review land records, site boundaries, intended use and available surveys.
- Assess the documented disturbance and identify missing investigation data.
- Develop technical restoration measures such as landform and soil-layer arrangements within the agreed scope.
- Plan relevant biological restoration measures for the proposed future use.
- Prepare project documentation and cost estimates, with coordination and approval support where applicable.
Deliverables for an international project
The agreed deliverable is a reclamation project containing explanatory materials, drawings, restoration measures and cost documentation appropriate to the site. We explain the proposed works, dependencies and implementation sequence to the programme team.
MREC's offer is the engineering and land-management planning assignment. Demining, environmental sampling, laboratory testing, specialist contamination treatment and physical restoration works are separate activities. Where their results are needed, responsibilities and inputs must be agreed before the plan is finalised.
A local planning partner for recovery and development
International consultants, project owners and agricultural programmes can engage us for the Ukrainian reclamation documentation within a wider project. We coordinate our planning scope with the specialist data and site requirements provided for the assignment. Work is based on Ukrainian standards, with project arrangements available across Ukraine subject to access and the agreed scope.
The reclamation package can be coordinated with cadastral documentation and detailed territorial planning where the intended future use depends on the wider development plan.
Scope, deliverables and quotation
We agree responsibilities, deliverables and review stages with your organisation or lead consultant before starting. Our work follows Ukrainian standards. Reports can be prepared in English upon request. Documents submitted to Ukrainian authorities follow the applicable language and format requirements.
The quotation defines the report and drawing formats, any editable files or signed copies, and the included coordination. The fee depends on site area, disturbance type, survey and investigation inputs, proposed restoration measures and the scope of coordination and reporting. We confirm the delivery schedule after reviewing the inputs and site access; any authority review has its own timetable.
How to commission this service
Email your organisation name, project objective, preferred schedule and available information: site location and boundary, land rights and use records, description of the disturbance, available surveys or investigation results, intended future use and known access restrictions.
Attach your project brief or terms of reference, including any procurement requirements and the role you need MREC to undertake. We review the inputs and return a proposed scope and quotation. Our office is in Mykolaiv; site work across Ukraine is agreed according to access and the assignment.
